qEEG screening
Service code s9022
Short description
Bipolar disorder is characterized by a hypersensitivity to reward-relevant cues and a propensity to experience an excessive increase in approach-related affect.
Since symptoms of bipolar disorder often overlap with several other disorders, a qEEG may offer additional neurophysiological information – a so-called “signature” for bipolar disorder, and can provide further understanding of pathophysiological mechanisms underlying this mental disorder.
Results
By performing this qEEG screening you will get the information on:
- whether you have a qEEG pattern typical for bipolar disorder and
- the potential extent of its severity.
Notes:
- The results of qEEG analysis are put in context of published scientific studies, the individual’s health history, complaints, symptoms and psychometric and other evaluations (if available).
- Present psychotropic medication use may affect the results.
