A paper on spatio-temporal brain dynamics that urges to bridge the “epistemic gap” between brain and mental realities through the dynamics of the brain’s time and space is published

28 September 2019

This brief comment marks the beginning of developing a comprehensive theory of spatio-temporal dynamics of brain-mind. It is hoped that in the future, with increased experimental research programs more knowledge of the spatio-temporal brain-mind dynamics will be accumulated and this would lead to establishment of a new, complete brunch of Spatiotemporal Neuroscience.

A neurophysiological hypothesis based on the three-dimensional model of Selfhood to account for the therapeutic actions of EMDR is proposed

10 July 2019

Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) therapy is included in many international trauma treatment guidelines and is also shortlisted as an evidence-based practice for the treatment of psychological trauma and Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD). However, its neurobiological mechanisms have not yet been fully understood. In the present article a hypothesis is proposed

The new study reporting first ever neuroimaging screening of the coaching training is published

3 July 2019

The rapid growth of coaching practices has outpaced the current best-practice empirical research and created a difficult landscape to navigate for coaches and consumers alike. To overcome these challenges the present study published in “Coaching: An International Journal of Theory, Research and Practice" proposed to employ the neuro-screening measure to develop and monitor an individually tailored coaching interventions.

Curiosities of the Brain

  • How fast does the Brain develop?

Brain volume doubles between birth and six months of age, triples from birth to two and will reach adult volume at around five years of age.

  • What is in a Brain?

Mostly Fat! About 60% of the brain is composed of lipids. The brain needs lipid for insulation, and for the speed of operation of neuronal messaging.

  • What is the life of the Brain before you were born?

Before the birth your brain creates 15 000000 neurons every hour. 50% of neurons will die before the birth. Your brain eats 70% of all calories that fetus gets.
